Inspiring Messages from Forest Officials

The chief guests addressed the gathering with enlightening speeches on environmental responsibility, forest conservation, and sustainable living.

They highlighted the critical role of trees in maintaining ecological balance and encouraged students to become environmental ambassadors in their communities. Their motivating words inspired young learners to adopt greener habits and actively contribute to environmental protection.

"The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth. Every tree we plant today is a promise of a greener tomorrow."

Environmental Awareness Rally Across the Community

One of the major highlights of the celebration was the Cycle Rally and Skating Awareness Rally organized by the school.

Students carried environmental messages and participated in awareness activities across several locations including:

  • Kodigehalli

  • Karnataka Bank

  • Police Checkpoint

  • Gram Panchayat Office

  • PDVO Office

Students also performed awareness skits in public spaces to educate community members about environmental conservation, tree plantation, and sustainable living.

The rally successfully spread awareness beyond the school campus and encouraged community participation in environmental initiatives.

Promoting Green Living Through Plantation Activities

As part of the celebration, digitalized plants and saplings were distributed to encourage tree plantation and eco-friendly practices. Teachers and students actively participated in plantation activities, reinforcing the school's commitment to creating a greener and healthier environment.

These initiatives help instill environmental values and practical conservation habits among students.

Educational Forest Visit to Sulikere Forest

To provide experiential learning opportunities, Grade 9 students visited Sulikere Forest (Main Branch, Kengeri).

The forest visit enabled students to:

  • Understand biodiversity and ecosystems

  • Learn about wildlife conservation

  • Explore the importance of forests in climate regulation

  • Gain practical knowledge about environmental protection

The immersive experience helped students connect classroom learning with real-world environmental challenges and solutions.

Building Environmentally Responsible Citizens

At New Hardwick Indian School, environmental education is integrated into holistic learning. Events such as World Environment Day empower students to become responsible citizens who value sustainability, conservation, and community service.

The active participation of students, teachers, management, and guests made the celebration both meaningful and memorable. Through awareness campaigns, plantation drives, rallies, and experiential learning, NHIS continues to nurture future leaders who are committed to protecting our planet.

The World Environment Day 2026 celebration at New Hardwick Indian School was a remarkable success. It strengthened awareness about environmental conservation and inspired students to take positive action toward creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
